2.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't shoot the ball over the net, December 15, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Ipong Table Tennis Trainer (Misc.)
Purchased from here and got it in 3 days. That was a big surprise!

When i set it up and started it didn't shoot the balls on the other side. I kept all the spins to 0. I think i have mixed 38mm and 40mm balls and it seem to fail for all 38mm balls. Some of the 40mm balls do go on the other side but not all. So contacting ipong.net to figure our what's going on. Not sure if it is a problem with the machine or the balls. Don't forge to order balls when you order the machine.

Stay tuned for more updates. The construction material is not really great. Be careful while assembling or disassembling as it could break.

--- I reviewed the product for 10 days and i am really disappointed. Will return it tomorrow. My comments are
1. Doesn't work at all without top spin (100% balls go in to net)
2. 40% go in net with topspin
3. 10% are shoot in totally wrong direction with top spin
4. 100% go out of the table with back spin so you have to keep... Read more

the ipong green is okay. You must have a lot of balls for it to work well. It is not worth 90 dollars do not waist your money on this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly good for training due to the unpredictable ball serving, March 20, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Ipong Table Tennis Trainer (Sports)
All the reviews stating that the ipong has high % of inaccurate serving is true. I have used the original ipong previously in my coach training session and when i compare the feel of the ball serve by ipong vs my robo machine. Ipong feel like a normal game ball serve. Hence it make me want to buy ipong. Well ipong pro seem unstable with its serve due to the rotating functionality. I did not set the machine to rotate the ball but the ipong may serve the ball 30% of the times in alternate direction . Other machine that i owned can see the machine head move before serving the ball but ipong pro without setting rotate will occasionally serve the ball in opposite direction and its serving head does not move. there is a element of surprise and this is like real game situation. you could be looking to pay a few thousand for such machine. You are in higher grade level thisis a must buy. My game improve a lot after using this.
