Otherwise its a 5 star product. Kettler is a German company that I'm told makes the best tables on the market, and this is surely an impressive design. The heavy duty blue top is very attractive and has a durable finish, and the best feature of all is that this unit folds up to a compact 25" for storage and the dual caster system allows it to roll freely until you need to lock them in place with the provided pedal locks. You get a true bounce and the net system is very sturdy as well. Also has a built in cradle for storing your paddles.
Where Kettler falls down is with their assembly instructions....they are horrible. I was told to expect about a 2 hour assembly time with the help of another adult. 4-6-8 hours is more like it if you have some mechanical ability and don't have any problem decoding Kettler's cryptic "step by step" instruction. I was also told the assembly would arrive "80%" complete. hahahahahahaha gag whock choke hahahahahaha
We received a Kettler Topstar XL weatherproof table as a Christmas present about 4 or 5 years ago. Yes, the assembly was a bit daunting, but the quality is superb. It has functioned perfectly since we got it and all three of my kids enjoy table tennis. We fold it up and wheel it into our garage when we aren't using it. The plastic thingies that hold the net tight have dried out after 4 years of storing in a Texas garage with no A/C, but parts are available through the Kettler website. We have worn out our set of Panda paddles. I would highly recommend the quality, finish and engineering of this table.
