Set it up today and was surprised to find it is a very capable machine! Although the description says it is mainly for beginners, the serve and speed is quite strong and controls are easy to use. Paid $179 including shipping during a rush sale found on Amazon. Need to slow down the speed for my kids to play. The spin is very good and takes quite a bit of skill to counter it. It would be nice to have the recycling net as well, but unfortunately you need to pay extra +$400 to get it. Maybe until I am much better player. So, even though the device is capable, it becomes a waste of money for the target audience.Beginners: This device CANNOT do a simple throw, every setting has a significant spin. You CANNOT turn the spin off. This makes it impossible for use by beginners. After the first 2 tries, it has simply been catching dust as none of the kids could handle the spin. For us, it was a waste of money. Experienced Players: If you're an experienced player, the device itself will challenge you well. However, you will miss the net and a bigger basket. I suggest you skip this model and go for next higher one.
