But the rubber is not ITTF approved and it is not a professional racket as advertized. The ratings also are not accurate. The speed is 5 at best. One thing that is true is the head heavyness of this racket. The sides of the bare plywood between the handle and the head were rough, so I had to sand them down to prevent my hands getting rubbed sore! There was no varnish or polyurethane coating to give it a finished look. The thin plastic protecting the head during shipment was also difficult to remove-it was so stuck onto the surface that I was afraid I would gouge the rubber trying to remove it (there are still a few pieces clinging to it after a month or so of use!!)I was looking to replace my old (30+ years) Japanese soft Barna paddle made by Dunlop, but I guess they don't make 'em like they used to!! |
