About Sportcraft:
The General Sportcraft Company was founded in 1926. In those times, most department stores did not carry sporting goods, so General Sportcraft helped pioneer the concept of "family-fun" departments within the store. Soon, the popularity of these departments spawned stand-alone sporting goods stores.

In the 1940s and 1950s, Sportcraft introduced new outdoor games to America, such as bocce, horseshoes, and volleyball. In time, Sportcraft's focus moved to indoors games like table tennis, billiards, foosball, and darts, now the company's most popular product lines. Today, more than 13 million customers a year purchase Sportcraft products.

The Sportcraft Anywhere Table Tennis set is a simple kit that will turn any table into a table tennis table. It is easy to use and a great way to keep your kids busy for hours.

The kits consists of two posts with integrated net, two paddles, 3 balls, and a nylon mesh bag to store the set up in. The kit is light weight, compact, and could easily fit into a suitcase for travel.

Set up is simple. The net is 63.5 inches, is spring loaded, and retracts between the two end posts. It has enough slack to easily fit on a five-foot wide table. The bottom of the posts can be hitched onto a table top with a thickness of up to two inches. Ideally, having a lip of 1 to 1 1/2 inches is ideal, but a 1/2 inch lip is good enough to hold the net stably. The part of the posts that grip the table are rubberized, but you still might want to have a cushion of paper or cloth between the table and the post to avoid scratching.

Once the net is set up, you can start... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Very cool idea, just measure your tables first, March 30, 2011

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program ( What's this?)
I was very excited to try out this product. It seemed like a great idea for camping or for turning your kitchen table into a ping pong table and for the most part it works very well.

I only ran into one big problem and that was that the clamp didn't open large enough to clamp on any of the tables in our house. It was too small to accommodate any table with a lip thicker than two inches and it has absolutely no give where that is concerned It took me a while but I finally found a table in our basement with a small enough lip and then it worked great.

The net keeps good tension and the grips hold onto the table well. It accommodates a variety of table widths (although my husband and I found it was hard to play on a table that was too short or too narrow just because you aren't used to it). Definitely something that I think will be wonderful for camping. You can easily clip it on to a picnic table and have instant ping pong :-)

The net bag that... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, February 8, 2011

This has proven to be a lot of fun. It works great on most tables! I've used it on a large folding banquet table and also on smaller household tables. The retractable net did not leave marks on the nice dining room table, which is a big plus! The paddles and ball are regulation size.

I cannot wait to take this camping, to the beach, and to enjoy it during cookouts this summer! We're having a blast with it in the house during the winter!

I would definitely recommend this and plan on giving it as a gift to an upcoming housewarming party!
